The Amphenol Advanced Sensors display includes pressure, temperature and air quality sensors and assemblies designed for use in transportation, industrial and healthcare applications. These sensors are based on a touchless operation concept with the magnet mounted on the actuated axis, increasing reliability and lifetime. These sensors are used in many of TTI’s key markets, including e-mobility, industrial processing, energy management, home appliances, electronics, health and life science, and automotive exhaust gas treatment. Tried and tested in tough automotive exhaust systems at temperatures up to 12,00°C, the KYOCERA AVX high-temperature sensors (HTS) have been made adaptable for various industrial, test lab and smart home applications. TTI will showcase the Piher brand HRPM Hall-effect rotary position sensors with programmable angular ranges from 50° to 360° for harsh-environment industrial, transportation, marine, and home and building automation applications. Offering several advantages over Hall-Effect technology, the Bourns SSD digital smart shunt sensors feature a 16-bit automotive-grade microcontroller, a 24-bit ADC with buffered analogue inputs, plus flash memory with error correction code (ECC) capabilities. An RS-485 transceiver typically integrates several key components into a single chip to facilitate reliable communication over RS-485 networks.



Typically the bit sequence is generated by a UART inside a microcontroller, which is wired to a RS-485 interface IC (also called a "RS485 Line Driver/Receivers" or "RS-485/RS422 Transceiver"). Biasing, sometimes called fail-safe biasing, is discussed briefly in the RS-422 and RS-485 specifications. RS-485 specifies a number of other things, but they are all electrical values. There are devices boasting a so-called "tri-galvanic" isolation - such as async modems or RS232/485 converters. Battery safety sensors, such as the battery aerosol sensor (BAS) and battery pressure sensor (BPS) from Honeywell, provide early detection of thermal runaway in Li-ion battery packs of electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage systems (ESS). When this option is installed, it is then possible to install a conductivity sensor, a pressure sensor, or a flow meter pack to communicate further information via RS485. The transmission speed possible with an RS232 interface is 1Mb/s for a distance of up to 15 meters. RS422 is a high speed and/or long distance data transmission. Environments that exhibit high levels of electrical noise and variable ground potential impact RS232’s ability to transfer data efficiently and can lead to data loss or corruption. The exact voltage level that a logic device considers ON or OFF varies by logic type, but when the voltage is high (usually but not always approaching the IC's supply voltage), the output is on and a binary 1 is on the wire, and when the voltage is approaching 0 the output is off and, a binary 0 is on the wire.



7V. The receiver must recognize a differential voltage of greater than ±200mV as a binary value. RS485 uses differential signalling to transmit data, which means that the data is represented by the difference in voltage between the TX and RX wires. The Laureate LMOD RS485 interface board is similar to L485 interface board, except that it providess dual RJ45 connectors instead of RJ11 connectors. There is a similar family of NOMAK cables which has only a common screen for all the pairs (individual pairs in the cable are unshielded).
